Remain

I always thought, loving someone was a good thing;
But its not, when the one you love, only wants a fling.

The things you try to do, to refrain yourself from crying;
The things you try to do, to refrain yourself from trying.

When you still put your all, even when he broke your heart;
Telling you he doesn’t love you anymore, he had to depart.

Kissing you like he didn’t mean a thing;
Even if it was a mistake, it made your heart sing.

Who knew someone could break your heart twice;
But you’re to blame, you rolled the dice.

From feeling like you’d never be enough;
To feeling like all love and peace, was just a bluff.

Friends with benefits, he asked casually;
But here you are, feeling like a casualty.

Who knew you could feel this low;
Like all hope is gone, all filled with sorrow.

Your heart, tainted with wounds and pain;
Slapped, kicked, stepped on, struggling to keep sane.

How could you do this, claiming that you loved me;
Telling me you miss me, us, when sex partners is all you want to be.

They always say misery is company, in my case it might be true;
As for misery you brought, and as for company, you.

You may not have caused any physical pain;
But for my love to you, you always did feign.

The tears that fall, you do not deserve;
The remaining pieces of my heart, i got to preserve.
